What I love about Wendy's salads is they have freshness in mind in all of their items. They never use frozen, canned, or preserved ingredients in their salads. All of the leafy greens are hand washed and hand-leafed, and handled through a salad spinner. The romaine lettuce and iceberg greens are also blended with a leafy spring mix with 9 different types of greens, so you don't get just one or two kinds of veggies. They also use fresh fruits that are in season, such as apples, strawberries, blueberries, and oranges. They don't use frozen or canned fruits.
And lastly, what makes Wendy's salads delicious and crunchy is the assembly. Customers are not served ready-made salads, but instead, the leafy greens and cheese are placed in a bowl with the rest of the ingredients served individually. What this does is it prevents the greens from getting soggy, as well as allows customers to assemble their salads the way they want to.
The result of all this attention to detail is crunchy, fresh, delicious, and healthy salads.
